Book Review – The Diamond Ring

Diamond Ring

The Diamond Ring is the third and final book in the Unbreakable Trilogy by Primula Bond, and you can also check her out on twitter.

Engaged to be married, life should be blissful for Gustav and Serena. It should be a time of happiness; a time to plan their wedding and their future together.

But the ghosts of Gustav’s past have returned to haunt him, and one in particular casts a dangerous shadow over their relationship.

Margot, Gustav’s bitter and twisted ex-wife, is determined to destroy everything that Gustav holds dear. Starting with Serena…

From the glamour of Paris to the exotic wilds of Morocco, The Diamond Ring will take you on a sensual, sexy journey like no other – with a finale you won’t forget.

Have to admit I was so desperate to find out what happened in this book I picked it up and started reading as soon as I’d finished The Golden Locket. This book brings Margot out of the shadows and deposits her firmly in Gustav and Serena’s lives, causing mayhem and doing her best to ruin their happiness. This book is much darker than the previous books and it makes a thrilling end to an excellent trilogy; secrets come out, truths are shared, and the villain gets even more crazy.

I really enjoyed this trilogy, Primula Bond manages to weave believable characters who we really care about and deliver adventure and romance with fantastic skill. Even the darker parts of this story are told with sensitivity and a deft touch. The books seemed to get darker as they progressed, mirroring Serena’s character development, and showing us the story through her eyes, but we do have a beautiful and romantic ending. Really loved it.

Would be brilliant if the author could continue the stories of some of the other characters we’ve met along the way. I would love to hear what happens to Pierre; will he ever find love, and does Polly find the peace she craves, what about Crystal and Dickson, what happens to them? I want more, please, Ms Bond.

Overall this was a great trilogy; sexy, well-written, fun, sexy, heart-breaking, romantic, did I mention sexy? I fell in love with the characters and felt invested in their story. Go buy them and give them a read.

*Disclaimer – I purchased this book myself after receiving the first two books in the trilogy for free from the author.
