I was thinking about all those things we get told to do when we’re horny and single……not the fun (and obvious) masturbate but all those other silly suggestions. The ones that seem to be there to stop us going out and having sex, with ourselves or with anyone else. You know the ones: cold shower, go for a run, spend time at the gym, eat something cooling (yes that is a serious suggestion I once got), watch something to distract you, dance, go swimming. Now I’m not saying these aren’t legitimate ideas or that the suggestion won’t help some people but for me this is like trying to put a sticking plaster (band-aid) on a broken leg; pointless, irritating and not helpful in the slightest.

The gym/exercise seems to have the opposite effect, not only does it not reduce the horny feeling, it actually seems to boost my libido……this is doubly true on days I did/do resistance or weights work. And all I find cold showers do is make me cold, but  not any less ready to jump the first willing guy who walks past. The food thing is not a suggestion I ever took seriously, what the hell is a cooling food???

But if I’m really honest even the fun suggestion of masturbate doesn’t always alleviate the issue, sometimes it’s just a momentary relief and two minutes later I’m ready to go again. And really masturbating 24 hours a day just feels a bit impractical. Sometimes you just need to be thoroughly and totally fucked. You want someone else’s fingers, their mouth, tongue, cock. Its about feeling that need, that hunger from someone, sharing that urgency that comes when you’re with someone, and you’re the only people in the universe, even if it’s just for that small amount of time.

It’s a funny thing being horny, sometimes I can distract myself from thinking about it, sometimes I can alleviate it with a quick wank, or with a longer wank, but sometimes you just want to be thrown on the bed and fucked hard. Sometimes you need that other person to help you feel satisfied.

    Nowadays it’s the timewasters who drive me mental, the people who “really want to meet up ASAP” but then are never, ever available when it comes to the crunch. It’s so frustrating as they often seem really nice people but I can’t handle the constant dithering any more so they get blocked too.

  3. Whoever said that going to the gym reduces your libido is absolutely insane. I find that my time at the gym serves only to take my mind off of the frustration for an hour or so, but the endorphins produced while exercise are functionally no different from those produced during sex, so naturally working out will only make you hornier.

    • Not sure reduces…..but relieves. Agree though they were nuts….or just having not great sex. 😉

      lol. Both. And yes, I seem to be permanently horny, with few options for real relief at the moment. :-
