Magic Motion Smart Kegel

I first came across the Magic Motion Smart Kegel Master at the ETO Show. Tim had a small display and was showing this and the Flamingo. I had a feel of both and had a chat with Tim about their range, and what else the company was hoping to do. I came away very excited about their products.

I was lucky enough to be offered the Magic Motion Smart Kegel Master to test, and once it arrived I was eager to get started. The packaging is simple and stylish with basic product information on the outside. Supplied in the box you get a user guide, USB cable, and a storage pouch. It’s great when companies include storage as part of the package.

The first thing to do when you get a Magic Motion product is to download the app. This is available on both the App Store and Google Play, and is free. There are clear instructions in the supplied user guide telling you how to connect your kegel balls to your phone and how to make them work together.

The first time you use it, there is a set up exercise, which checks the strength of your kegel muscles, and that you can feel the kegel ball vibrate. Now we come to the app. When you are ‘exercising your phone has a little bird on the screen, and the idea is you need to make the bird fly. The way you do this is to squeeze your pelvic muscles around the kegel ball. There is a vibration pattern and you squeeze when you feel it vibrate.

When I set this up I made the bird fly to the top of my screen very easily but when it started me on a program I found I really struggled to get the bird to fly even halfway up. I wondered if I was doing something wrong but I couldn’t work out how to get the test screen up again to try it, and after a few weeks I had the bird flying high again, so I think the program for the exercises is set so it really does test you.

The Magic Motion smart kegel master is made from body safe medical silicone, with ABS plastic. It is fully waterproof, travel ready, and USB rechargeable (and you all know how much I LOVE my products to be rechargeable). The kegel balls are quite small with a good weight, which I would usually recommend more for advanced users. However, in this instance because of the program and the vibration I would say they would be okay for beginners as well.

I did have an issue with the connection between the kegel and my phone dropping a few times, it didn’t happen every time I used it but it did happen occasionally. It wasn’t really a problem though, as it was easy to reset the connection on my phone and continue the exercise. The app suggests you do the program four times a day, and I found it easiest to do it all at once. Took me 6 minutes each morning to do the recommended program.

Overall

I loved the Smart Kegel Master from Magic Motion. And I can’t wait to see what else the company comes up with.

Product Review – Tracey Cox Supersex Kegel Toner Set

DSC00644

I’ve really struggled writing this review of the Tracey Cox Supersex Kegel Toner Set, so many people have raved about this product and I wanted to love it but it just didn’t work for me.

It came in the usual discreet Lovehoney packaging and inside each ‘Toner’ was individually packaged in a box with lots of information and instructions for use. You also got a little white storage pouch for each which was really good.

The quality is excellent, and the materials are smooth and feel good in your hand. They also have a nice weight to them, not too heavy, so I think these would be a good starter set. They are a teardrop shape which I thought might be to make them easier to insert for newer users (other toners I have used were much more rounded).

The idea is to start with the single toner and work up to the double toner, and even though I have been using toners for about a year I wanted to start with the smaller one so I could try them out properly.

Once inserted the single ball was comfortable to wear and when moving about I could feel it gently ‘bumping’ away. My issue was with getting it in, for some reason this shape was just not working with my body. It actually left me feeling a bit sore and bruised, and completely confused as I have had things with more girth without a problem. I just could not get the angle right and inserting it was very painful (even inserting it when I was aroused hurt), but once it was in it was fine, and I did persevere.

I used these consistently every day for two weeks, and still got that pinch of pain inserting so I think the shape just does not work for me.

Then we come to removing it…….who on earth thought an ‘elastic’ retrieval cord (It’s not actually elastic just very stretchy silicone) was a good idea?? If your hand slips while pulling it out, it twangs back and hits you in a fairly uncomfortable place. I ended up having to reach inside with thumb and forefinger to pull it out by the base of the ball (much like removing a Mooncup).

On to the double toner, I found the joiner on this toner very flexible, so pushing the second ball in was that much harder. because it kept bending. and once in this was very uncomfy. However I think this is a length issue and not the toner itself, I think it is just too long (7 inches insertable length) for my body, and I couldn’t wear it comfortably for any length of time.

These won’t replace the kegel toner set I regularly use but that doesn’t mean they won’t work for you, and I do think kegel toners are a great idea. Even though I was fairly tight to begin with (years of yoga and doing my PC exercises), since using kegel toner balls I have noticed a difference; my orgasms are stronger and last longer, I am more likely to squirt, and am much less likely to ‘leak’ when I sneeze. I am also have much better control over my muscles during sex, meaning I can focus contractions to enhance the experience.

*I was sent this item in exchange for an honest review (an edited version of this review appears on the Lovehoney product page).

Product Review – Fun Factory Original Smartballs

DSC00630This review is for the Fun Factory Original Smartballs Kegel balls.

This product is a strongly built, good quality item. The removal ‘string’, the one part I was unsure about is not actually string but made of the same top quality silicone as the balls. I bought these because I had heard that even if you are fairly tight down there regular use of these can help make orgasms more intense and can stop you becoming looser with age, plus I was really curious about them. After researching I decided on these.

Kegel balls have a rotating set of internal balls that rotate silently as they move, creating sensations, and causing your muscles to tighten around them. Many reviews seem to talk about being able to feel them this movement inside of you and some people even say they’ve orgasmed from these……I have not been that lucky. Even wearing them to the gym just caused a mild sensation. More of a slow build up type of orgasm (having my partner slowly remove them while giving me oral lead to an exceptional orgasm though). Since I started using them I do feel like I am tighter down there (and I was fairly tight to start with), and definitely noticed an increase in the strength of orgasms, also found I squirted easier after using them.

The exact ones I have aren’t available anymore but the new version look just as good, it’s really only the ‘string’ that’s different.
